Sasa Sauna — One-Page Website for a Private Awaji Island Stay
LANDING PAGE · HOSPITALITY

A traditional house among the fields of Awaji Island, a wood-fired sauna and time set aside for one private group. We designed a one-page website that lets first-time visitors feel Sasa Sauna’s quiet, restorative stay—and move naturally towards booking it.

OVERVIEW

Bring the value of doing nothing to the other side of the screen.

Sasa Sauna is a one-group-a-day private sauna stay in the northeast of Awaji Island. Its setting combines a 96-year-old single-storey traditional house among the fields with a private sauna barrel heated by a wood stove. It is a place to step away from city noise and relax, unhurried, with family or close friends.

A hospitality website needs to communicate more than a list of facilities. The light on the engawa veranda, the texture of wood and earth, the movement of fire and the fields beyond all help define the stay. We brought that atmosphere together with the practical information and booking journey in one focused page.

THE CHALLENGE

A list of features alone does not make someone want to stay.

“Private traditional house,” “wood-fired sauna” and “Awaji Island” do not by themselves convey what makes the Sasa Sauna experience distinctive. We made photography the centre of the story, then organised the house, sauna, facilities and access information in an order that feels natural as interest grows.

OUR APPROACH

Support the journey from imagining the stay to deciding to book.

01

Begin with the atmosphere of the place

Before explaining a schedule, we introduce the fields, traditional house, fire and natural materials—an immediate entry into Sasa Sauna’s distinctive world.

02

Make the sauna experience tangible

Wood-fired heat, self löyly and the underground-water shower are organised into clear information that helps visitors understand the experience before arrival.

03

Keep practical decisions easy

Facility details, access and the booking route are placed in one clear flow, designed to be easy to read on mobile and easy to act on.

OUTCOME

A website that turns the wish to visit into a clear next step.

A hospitality website is where someone considering their options starts to picture themselves in a place. We created a consistent presentation of Sasa Sauna’s privacy, calm and sauna experience, alongside a straightforward route to the information needed to book.
